Home Expenses: Keeping track of supplies, project purchases, and anything you have spent on your home or a rental home you have can mean a savings on your income taxes in the year you spend the money or a long term savings at the sale of the property. Either way it is very important to have all your details in one place. Your tax man/woman will love you for sure! Even if you do the taxes yourself, this will save you a lot of headaches at the end of the year. Remember to separate the deductible, from the non-deductible, what you can claim now from what you can claim later at the sale of your property, and the labor you hired to help you. A page for each would work well. Total purchases at the bottom of the form and you have the amount you need ready for tax time. A suggestion to make it even easier is to either paper clip the actual receipts to the back of the form or put them in a plastic envelope with punch holes next to this form in your notebook. This prevents the loss of your valuable receipts and proof of deductions claimed.

This picture is just to give you a general idea of what the forms will look like. Turning the form into a picture has greatly reduced the quality, so there are distortions that do not appear in the actual form.
