Caregiver Bill of Rights

Mother's Day was last weekend and it made me think how great it would be if there was a real Caregiver Day with cards, gifts, flowers and free dinners in nice restaurants!  Like mothers, caregivers often give up freedom, friends and money.  And like mothers, its easy for us as caregivers to start to lose our identities and question ourselves and our lives.  Loved ones that we care for and family members can often make us feel guilty for making decisions and taking time for ourselves.  It's so important to care for ourselves just as much as we do the ones we care for.  I found this article called A Caregiver's Bill of Rights.   Its something all caregivers should print out, put up on the wall and read often.
